This is probably my most traditional acoustic make. The body back and sides are East Indian rosewood. Top is Englemann spruce. Neck is nicely quartered mahogany. Trim includes figured mahogany binding with black/white/black/white purfling. The bridge is rosewood. The rosette includes alternate stripes of mahogany and ebony. Nut and saddle are bone.
The sound and shape are standard OM, with 14 fret neck join. The sound is very warm. There is a reason that this wood combination is so popular.
The finish is hand rubbed satin shellac French polish. This is a very traditional type of finish which produces a very light layer that maintains the acoustic quality of the wood.
